five buildings represent part of the fleet of Vance Corporation buildings
located throughout Seattle. From a VAV system in the Roffe building to a
steam heat system in the Plaza 600 building, ATS has been able to create
flexible and economical solutions for the Vance Corporation. Because many
of downtown Seattle's buildings are almost 100 years old, retrofitting the
HVAC and controls systems is essential to maintain use of these prime real-estate
complexes.

Crime Lab Seattle, Washington |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The
Washington State Patrol Seattle Crime Lab, the state's largest lab for DNA
and forensics, recently underwent a major tenant improvement on two floors
of the city-owned building. The work included lab casework, hoods, and extensive
central and tenant HVAC improvements. Alerton's BACtalk system, Phoenix
Controls and Strobic Fans work together to maintain proper working and lab
conditions in this approximately 46,000 square foot facility. Three Strobic
Exhaust Fans were installed on a single plenum serving fume hood exhaust.
The fans offer higher effective stack height and increased dilution with
lower stack height and lower energy costs. Similarly, Phoenix Zone Presence
Sensors were used to reduce the fume hood airflow when hoods were left open
in an unoccupied space.
